Gizem Kayişoğlu
Gizem Kayisoglu graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Maritime Faculty, Department of Maritime Transportation Management Engineering, in 2016, with an undergraduate degree. She also completed her double major undergraduate program on Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering at Istanbul Technical University in 2019. At the same time, she completed her MS degree at Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Sciences, Maritime Transportation Engineering Program, in 2019, and is a PhD candidate at the same institution. Since 2017, she has been working as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University, Maritime Faculty, Department of Marine Transportation Engineering. In 2022-2023, she has been assigned at The University of Plymouth, Cyber-SHIP Lab as a visiting researcher on the topic of maritime cyber security. In 2024, she is deployed as a Assist. Prof. Dr. at Istanbul Technical University, Maritime Faculty, Department of Marine Transportation Engineering. Her main study topic is cybersecurity in maritime. Besides, statistical and risk assessment modelling on other study areas related with maritime transportation also take place between her studies. She has several academic papers on these topics.
